POLICIES

OUR MAIN GOAL

The main goal of the Sport for Australians Party (SAP) is to see major sport in Australia always available for every Australian regardless of financial or social status. We believe that all major sport in Australia should be able to be viewed on commercial television, and that live sporting events should remain affordable for all families. The SAP has three major concerns about sport in Australia, which we would like to address.

1.     That international cricket, grand slam tennis and golf, and all major football codes, including, AFL, NRL, Rugby Union and Soccer internationals remain accessible to all Australians on free to air television.

2.     That admission to live sport in Australia remains affordable to all Australians.

3.     To ensure that profits from these major sports contribute sufficiently to promoting, supporting, and funding junior sport within Australia.

 OTHER POLICIES

The SAP believes in a Triple Bottom Line (TBL) method when deciding on any issue. The TBL takes into account three major factors when making decisions on policy.
  • Social
  • Economic
  • Environment
All of our candidates will make their own decisions based on their own conscience and the TBL. The SAP does not support factionalism, nor asking it's members to support policy they do not believe in. The SAP firmly believes that we represent the people of  Australia, and all future policy will be in the best interests of those we represent.
